Who we are

Unsited Leads (“Unsited,” “we,” “us”) operates a software service that helps businesses and agencies discover local-business leads and assess the quality of those businesses’ websites. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to unsited.io and any related Unsited services.

Information we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run the service:
  • Account information — your email address and an encrypted password when you sign up. We never store your password in plain text.
  • Billing information — handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we keep only a record of your purchases and credit balance.
  • Search and usage data — the searches you run (business type, location, filters), the leads you generate, and basic activity needed to operate features like credits and job history.
  • Technical data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps, used for security and reliability.

Lead data and public business information

The leads produced by the service consist of business information that is publicly available through sources such as Google Maps and businesses’ own public websites — for example business names, addresses, phone numbers, public email addresses, ratings, and website details. We act as a tool that helps you collect and organize this publicly available information. You are responsible for using lead data lawfully, including complying with anti-spam, telemarketing, and data-protection laws that apply to how you contact those businesses.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service;
  • Process payments and manage your credit balance;
  • Run searches and website audits you request;
  • Communicate with you about your account, including password resets and important service notices;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues;
  • Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising in the product.

Service providers we rely on

We use trusted third parties to operate the service. Each receives only the data needed for its function:
  • Supabase — database and authentication.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Google Maps Platform — business and place data.
  • Email delivery providers — transactional emails such as password resets.
These providers are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

Data retention

We keep your account and lead data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual lead lists at any time inside the app. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, transaction records) to meet legal or accounting obligations.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any issue.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at the email below and we will respond as required by applicable law. You can also update your email, change your password, or delete lead lists directly in the app.

International users

We operate from the United States, and your information may be processed there. By using the service, you understand that your information will be handled in accordance with this policy regardless of where you access it from.

Children

The service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
